Python Developer (part time / contract) - notiforand - Feb-01-2024

Supabase is seeking a Python Developer to lead and maintain our open-source Python libraries. It’s a contract position.

Supabase is an open-source Firebase alternative, built by developers for developers. Supabase adds auth, real-time, storage, restful APIs, and edge functions to Postgres. Supabase is a fully remote company. Having a globally distributed, open-source company is our secret weapon for hiring top-tier talent.

You will:
  • Own the development and maintenance of the Python client libraries (supabase-py, realtime-py, gotrue-py etc. & vecs).
Reach parity with the Supabase Javascript Python Client Library.
    Guiding community maintainers and contributors.
Own the documentation for the above.
Produce materials that assist in the adoption of supabase-py and vecs users. Technical blog posts, example applications, guides and tutorials etc.
Support the above across Discord, GitHub, and HubSpot.

You are:
  • 5+ years of Python development.
2+ years experience contributing or maintaining an Open Source project.
Nice-to-haves:
  • Experience implementing authentication and authorization systems.
    Javascript/Typescript experience.
    Deep exposure to Postgres.
Experience with Vector Embeddings and AI systems.

We offer:
  • 100% remote work from anywhere in the world. No location-based adjustment to your salary.
Autonomous work. We work collaboratively on projects, but you set your own pace.

Please see the details and apply from Supabase career page (sorry, cannot add the link yet!)
