Doesn't it irk you, when you try to use good passwords like that, on
a new site that you'd like access to, and they come back with a message
indicating that you must use only letters and numbers, no caps, and limited to 14 characters or less.
probably with a message on the same page saying something like
'We care about your security'.

Please excuse me if that is thread hijacking, but I feel like it is ok to post it here...
Is there some particular reason why changing password was enforced? Has there been an unwelcome event, or is there simply an interval when passwords need be changed?

Yes, there was an incident the other day, but thankfully Metulburr was able to quickly restore us to normal.

i saw the event. i should have screen captured it. but i was in a hurry to kill my browser and wipe its files. maybe someone else captured it.
has the crack been sealed?
