long computer use posture

One should focus on prevention. It's the cheapest over time way to deal with everything.

CBD isn't going to prevent you from destroying your body with bad ergonomics.

I switched to sitting on an exercise ball about two years ago (and lowering my desk), and have felt massive improvements. But everyone is different. Try different things until you find something that works for you. Continuing to do the same thing, and expecting a different result, is the definition of insanity.

It's a big thing. Several people in my old office did it. At least, until they were told they couldn't do it except on an agency purchased ball after getting approval from the EEO office.

Gaiam was mentioned by someone else. This is another example: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01GE7F3SQ/
They're marketed as either exercise balls, or yoga balls.

I don't know what brand I use, I just pulled a cheap one off the shelf of Target. Didn't want to spend too much since I wasn't sure I'd like it lol. Ended up lasting a lot longer than I thought it would.

I'll repost the link.
I've been using this medicine ball chair since the early 90's.

I't's awesome, keeps your body active and harder to slouch.

does the ball or ball-chair actually stop you from slouching? It seems like it would be more "comfy" but not stop slouching.

some remarks (in order of appearance):

Quote:1: The quality of the chair itself seems to be good but very disappointed with the ball size. The pictures all show a full size ball, the ball that comes with this chair barely stays in the frame when you sit on it because it is so small. It claims someone up to 5'11" can use it, that will only be possible if your legs are outstretched. I am 5'6" and barely sit in it correctly. Thankfully I have a balance ball that is the correct size that I am able to put in the frame so I can at least use it, the cute little black ball sits in my closet (might give it to my toddler niece as a toy)

Quote:2: I have ordered this ball chair 2 times. First time brought home from store to put together and all parts weren’t there. Returned. Ordered it again to pick up at store. My husband went to get it, checked before taking it out of the store. Not all parts in box. I am so upset. Why can’t the store check & make sure everything is in the box? Lost my percent off & my Kohl’s cash. Not good. Not a happy customer!

Quote:3: This is a great concept and assembly was easy but the ball is too small for me to be able to use this for a desk chair as intended. The picture shows the ball over half way up the back rest - mine is at least 6" lower than that and the ball doesn't even fill in the opening. Love the chair and idea but I will need to buy a normal size exercise ball to make this work for a desk chair. Air pump was included.

It sounds like i need to rethink my entire desktop setup ive used for years. I think my desk style invites slouching too.
